It is fine pleasant weather yet and very warm today

Got my box last night. Everything all right in it. Sold the gloves for $150 one lb of butter for 50 cts.
Jan. 18,1864
Everything is all quiet here yet they are deserting fast. Their pickets and ours are about 1/2 mile apart.
