Tues. March 1, 1864
Here I am in camp near Culpeper. Still cooking for the Capt. We have had no rain since we went to the front till last night. It began to rain about dark and rained all night and a day today till night it snowed some.
Wed. March 2,1864
It is very pleasant this morning but rather muddy.
Mon. March 7,1864
today. It has been very pleasant and warm for 2 or 3 days past
Tues. March 8, 1864
has been nothing of interest here since I last wrote. We are still here in camp where we have been since the first of Feb. I am cooking yet. It began to rain last night and it rains hard now - about noon.
