Fri. Feb. 12, 1864

We got our pay today. I got 51 dollars besides what the mess owed me for washing.

Sat. Feb. 13, 1864

I got a letter from Ett last night and one from mother. I wrote to Ett and last after 10 o.c. and sent her 20 dollars.

Sun. Feb. 14, 1864

The weather is yet warm. It seems like spring. The wind blows very hard. I have been baking up a lot of beans.

Mon. Feb. 15,1864

There was a review today. David Gotham was here today. I went over saw Sam Sheldon last night. They are laying within sight of us. It is snowing now and the ground is white at 10 o.c.

Tues. Feb. 16, 1864

Very Cold. I went and got a load of wood today.

Wed. Feb. 17, 1864

It is extremely cold. Done nothing but my cooking today

Thu. Feb. 18, 1864

Cold wind yet. Went down to the city today. Had my likeness taken this afternoon.
